Setup Belkin Range Extender using default settings

Hello everyone 

this post is a help Guide on how to setup & configure belkin range extender using the default settings. this process can be used to setup older belkin extender too as long as you reset the extender to default settings.

Before you start the setup process make sure your extender is ON and you have your wireless network name (SSID) with a Wi-Fi password. Now if you this information then follow the below-given steps for setting up your Belkin range Extender wirelessly-

Belkin Range extender Setup

1. Plugin your range extender in power inlet.

 2. Use Wi-Fi capable device, locate and connect in Belkin.setup network.

3. Once you are connected to Belkin.setup then move to the next step.

4. Now launch the web browser and type http://Belkin.range or use the default belkin extender ip 192.168.206.1 to access the range extender’s web-based setup page.

5. Once you are connected open the Get started button and click on it.

 6. It will start searching for your SSID.

7. Now select the wireless network and click on the Next button.

8. Once you are connected then enter your network password and click on ‘next’

9. Select the network based on your usability and repeat step 8

10. Now select the network which you want to extend.

11. Tap on create extended network button and proceed further Configuration is complete for your Belkin Range extender and you are ready to go. 

Reset Belkin Extender - 

in any case if you fail to setup belkin extender or if you have an older belkin extender that you would like to setup again- 

Now to reset belkin extender there are certain steps must be followed- 

• plug the belkin extender to power source & turn it on 
• locate the reset key at the back of the extender & find a toothpic or pen to reset the settings.
• press & hold the reset key for next 20-30 seconds & wait all lights starts blinking.
• let the reset key & restart the settings & refresh the settings 

Go to the settings & login the belkin extender using belkin.range to setup the belkin extender from starting using the older settinge.
